Insurance operations We offer a wide range of property-casualty and life/health insurance productstobothprivateandcorporatecustomers.Wearetheleading property-casualty insurer globally and rank among the top five in the life/health insurance business. Our key markets based on premiums are Germany, France, Italy and the United States. Most of our insurance markets are served by local ­Allianz com- panies. However, some business lines – such as ­Allianz Global Corpo- rate & Specialty (AGCS), ­Allianz Worldwide Partners (AWP) and Credit Insurance – are run globally. In accordance with the responsibilities of the Board of Management, each of the insurance categories is grouped into regional reportable segments. Corporate and other activities are divided into three different report- ablesegmentsinordertodifferentiatebetweentherespectiveproducts, risks and capital allocation. In total, the ­Allianz Group has 17 report- able segments.
